At Greener Today, our mission is to help the citizens of San Diego realize their environmentally friendly goals by guiding them through the process of greening their homes and lives.
We focus on five specific areas to help you GO GREEN!

- Waste management, including recycling and composting
- Food buying habits
Our Values
We believe that “going green” doesn’t have to mean making huge or drastic changes. It can also mean making a number small changes in our everyday lives that add up to something great.
We believe that a truly green home is one that is healthy, comfortable, durable, energy efficient, and environmentally responsible.
We believe that every one of us has the power to reduce the size of the carbon footprint we leave behind.
We believe that it is never too late to start practicing environmentally friendly habits.
We believe that a greener tomorrow really does start today.
About the President
Rebecca Schwartz has a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of California, San Diego in Biology/Ecology with a minor in Environmental Studies.
She has worked in environmental outreach and conservation for several non profit groups, including the Roundhouse Aquarium, in Manhattan Beach, CA, the San Diego Audubon Society, and the Catalina Island Marine Institute. She has also spent time volunteering with the San Diego Ocean’s Foundation, the Catalina Island Conservancy, and TreePeople Los Angeles.
Rebecca has traveled internationally to study environmental activism in Central America, South East Asia, and Australia/New Zealand. In Australia and Belize, she conducted scientific research studies with the goal of better understanding the impact of human activities on marine and coastal ecosystems.
Rebecca believes that if we are going to have a positive effect on our environment, then its time to get the green movement out of board rooms and laboratories and into people's homes and lives.
That is why she started Greener Today. To put environmentalism into practice and achieve tangible, meaningful benefits for the world around us.
